Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
No
What happens when the dogs dream?
Not sure. The last time I had a dog I was a child. I grew up in a house with a front and back yard. I’ve had cats since the 1980s. My space is very small so only cats can fit. So it’s me and Sylvester. He is a chill kitty and I have no indication of his dreams. Perhaps he is dreaming of chasing mice and cans of tuna.
What’s on your closet floor right now?
Junk! Well not exactly. Once I moved from 3 1/2 rooms to one room my one and only closet has become storage space. The rest of my stuff is in outside storage. One day I hope to get my own place again and get my stuff out of storage in particular my furniture.
Name five books on your bookshelf.
No longer have bookshelves. No room. Everything is on my Kindle. I have to Zoom the text up to its largest level. Very embarrassing. Plus due to eye problems and even after my Retina surgery in Jan. 2010 I have a great deal of trouble reading. I can only read the top largest line on the Eye Chart and everything else is a blur.
Gradually I’m moving to Audio Books. Real paperback or hardcover books no longer have much of a meaning to me because I basically can barely read the print. Reading has become a lost pleasure.
Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
A Combined Art & Crafts plus Photography Studio for both Stephen and I.
Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)
Storm in the high seas! Thunder. Lightening. Upheaval and Turmoil! Hail and Sleet.
If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?
Anything from the Harlem Renaissance. Actually I’d Love to meet the Celebrated Renowned Harlem Renaissance Photographer James Van Der Zee who took my Dad’s photo around 1934 or 1935 and be there the day that the below photos was taken.

This is a picture of the studio where the photo was taken those many years ago. Now it is a Real Estate Office.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
One day I will be included in this list.
Her Side of the Street is a social media project across several platforms promoting women street photographers. Find us on:
Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Medium
This is a curated list, more extensive than any “best of” top twenty list, yet not all inclusive, as would be a directory. More comprehensive is the worldmapof women street photographers.

I can only discuss Inheritance from my parents to me as I never married nor had children so after my brother and I pass away this branch of the family ends.
The most precious things I inherited from my parents and ancestors are honest, hidden strength, common sense, kindness, compassion, wisdom and understanding. Yes they did leave me some material goods which I treasure but one’s inner character is more important.
In terms of my Love and Passion in regards to Photography I highly value the photographs and Kodak Kodachrome slides my Dad left me. I no longer have the slide projector to show the slides but I hope one day to get the slides digitized. I read that the African American Smithsonian Museum is digitizing photographs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes specifically for African Americans. So far the information did not mention anything about Kodak Slides but I will keep checking for information. Since I don’t have children I will probably leave all my family historical documents divided between the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and the African American Smithsonian Museum.
The below photos are of my Dad’s side. Sadly I have very few photos of my Mom’s family mostly because they were poor coal miners in West Virginia some of whom moved to Dayton, Ohio and New Jersey. They could not afford to have professional photos taken.
