Wade in the Water

Wade in the Water

God’s gonna trouble the Water

Coney Island in Brooklyn

Brighton Beach

Long time captive far from my Native Land. By the Rivers of Babylon how can I sing a song of joy.

Then Oshun and Black Moses led me across the wilderness to Freedom.

Small Sand Shark almost washed up on the beach.

Surrounded by kids and one adult who was trying to get the little shark back into the ocean I can only imagine how frightening it must be to have all these foreign two legged creatures gawking and screaming. Fortunately the lifeguard rescued him and returned it home to the sea.

At the beach I feel whole and restored. Dipping my toes and feet into the Ocean, wading in up to my waist I experience a return to childhood, carefree, splashing and playing like I did so many years ago.

Like Naaman the Leper who was instructed to dip 7 times by the prophet I dip and dip again washing away years of pain, sorrow, despair, anger, suffering, sadness and anxiety. Fears drift far away beyond the distant shores. Then gazing at the Horizon I beheld New beginnings for the Lord has troubled the Waters.

Quirky Oddball Coney Island Skeleton

What’s the Matter with Bob?

Did Bob not drink enough water? Laid out in the sun for too long? Did he fall off one of the rides? Too much time on the Roller-coasters? A clue to his name/tag/label on Instagram?  Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine!   In the meantime I think that somebody stole his Laptop!

Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

I had a great day lounging on the beach, walking the Boardwalk and along the sandy beach. It was a gorgeous day.  Outstanding weather.

It has been close to 15 years since I last visited Coney Island and there have been lots of changes. The place is really built up with plenty of new shops, stores and restaurants. Much cleaner than in past years. Lots of improvements. Wow!

No. I don’t swim but I did stick my toes in the surf as you will see in the below video.  Me and roller-coasters are not friends so no getting on stomach turning rides. Next time I think I might try the Bumper Cars. I always Loved Bumper Cars. Fun. Nothing like a beautiful sunny day filled with Sun, sea, sand and surf!
