This Week in Halloween

Getting Ready to Celebrate My Favorite Holiday.  For those of you who have been following me for the last seven or eight years you know that Stephen and I always have the Best in Sibling Costumes.

It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!  That Pumpkin is looking very much like a football!

Here are some Halloween decorations in my Brooklyn neighborhood.

Coney Island Beach days in August

Memories of Summer 2018

During the last week of August specifically the last Wednesday and Thursday at the end of August I went to Coney Island Beach and Boardwalk when the temperature hit 100 degrees in New York City.  It was much cooler and more refreshing at Coney Island Brighton Beach.

The Two Big Poppas

Mural in Bushwick, Brooklyn

The street in fact that entire block is being worked on however I would suppose that the workmen are used to people stopping and taking pictures of this Outstanding Street Mural.

“Biggie. Biggie. Biggie. Can’t you see sometimes your words just mystify me!”

The British Big Poppa aka Alfred Hitchcock well he is one of my favorite Movie Directors of all time.  The Birds scared me half to death as did Psycho.  However my favorite Hitchcock movie is “Rear Window” with Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly who later married Prince Rainier of Monaco and became Princess Grace.

Back in 2016 an artist created an outdoor exhibit for a New York Museum based on the Edward Hopper painting and the creepy hotel in the film Psycho. It was a facade. Nothing on the inside so one could not go in. On the other hand who in their right mind would want to?!  It was so realistic that I expected to hear Janet Leigh screaming and Anthony Perkins to pop out any second!

Now Time for Goosebumps and Heebie-jeebies.
