Celebrate 58!

For all the 50+ Ladies Yes we live in a youth centered, youth oriented society that often neglects or ignores Women over 50 but together we can uplift ourselves. We can and should celebrate ourselves. No looking for acceptance or confirmation from a man. Validate yourself.  No competition with or from the younger generation.

Pretty much outside of hair color, lipstick and mascara I’m make-up free. I was never big on make-up even when I was in my teens and 20s. Now when I was in my 30s I had bad outbreaks of cystic adult acne. Fortunately when I entered my 40s then acne disappeared.

Yes my body is aging but I’ve overjoyed to be 58 and am looking forward to turning 59 at the end of Feb. 2018!  

The Big 60 will be here February 2019.

Be proud of making it to and over that half century mark! Go ahead and Share your 50+ or 60+ Beauty and Boldness!  Disrupt Aging!

Let me take you on a Phonetic Poetic Photo journey via pictures and Verse.

 

Black is not something I do. It is who I am.

It is the place I inhabit and that which inhabits me.

Black is the space where ancestral spirits find place within my soul. The music of Africa inhabits my every thought and deed. From Be-bop to Hip-Hop it’s all there never displaced.

Calling me Journey. Sojourning for Truth.  Ain’t I am Woman Goddess strong, fierce and proud.

Calling me Traveler for I have inhabited many shores. I strode forth without ever leaving my home.

Home is the place that inhabits me. Every cut corner ragged edge begs to be filled. Silence inhabits uncharted symphonies of mindless cacophonies. Symphonic Blasts inhabit the Universe.

Museum paintings and sculptures inhabit three planes: Past, Present and Future. Transformation begins via viewers lending voices to long forgotten pasts.

Silent Interiors speak Volumes but only the selected of the masses can hear its voice.

The butterfly leaps from Chrysalis thrust into Arboreal fields.

Street Urban Art Inhabits dreary dry brutalist streetscapes revamping the atmosphere paying Silent Verbal Homage to fallen heroes kept from whited sepulchral one-sided gallery spaces.

The past inhabits the future while dullards look askance on those not like them. The past inhabits the present whilst clinging to a more hopeful future.

Past and current inhabitants on a collision course with destiny. Destiny inhabits the storm. In tune with Eternal beings.

The Great Soul inhabits All Souls at birth yet flees from the wicked. Let Grace Abound.

Yes We Inhabit a strange land mystically inhabiting three spheres. Counterclockwise orbits inhabiting galaxies.

My Day in Chelsea

After getting my B 12 shot at the excellent and wonderful Reviv Wellness Clinic I decided to take a walk around the surrounding neighborhood just soaking in the ambiance on a beautiful sunny spring day.

I will talk about the Fashion Institute of Technology neighborhood murals in another blog post.  FIT is also located in the Chelsea Section of Manhattan  Pictures of the Murals will be available in my next post. Stay tuned……….
