Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Nature (and a Bonsai Photomontage)
This is the local community garden around the corner from where I live. It is maintained by the senior citizens and retirees. They do an excellent job. It has been cleaned from winter’s icy grit and grime and prepared for planting. The Elders in the Community plant edibles as well as flowers. Not sure where the funds come from to maintain the garden however I think they sell some of what they grow or they put in their own money or perhaps the City of New York makes monetary contributions.
As we get more into spring then summer I will be taking more photos.
All photos taken with my Samsung Galaxy.

Community gardens are the best. They have so many benefits. Do continue to share its progress. Happy Photo Challenge.
Sometimes when I see the Elders out there having fun and enjoying the garden I envy their freedom. Plus their green thumb!!

A son of mine and his wife belong to a community garden here in Northern California. It always starts out looking a little sad, but as spring progresses, and then summer…BAM!
I can’t wait to see what happens here!
It will be wonderful. They do a good job ever year.
I’d love to see lots more urban and community gardens, especially in the parts of the city where it’s difficult to get good, fresh produce. Thanks for sharing this one.

I will keep you updated on the progress.
